Myrtle Beach Working Update~~

Friends always asked me how is my job in US..
Ok...Actually, it is quite fun..
I enjoy doing the routine sales work, and also chit chating with collegues and customers.
Omg...U know how cute are those American's babies...Damn CUTE.I just love to play with them. Too bad, i dun have a camera:P
Tonight, I just happened to see this family from Florida. Father+Mother+Children+Grandparents...quite a normal combo..
It reminded me of my family too..
When can I have a family outing? to travel around?
or when can i have a dinner with them...
And i just found tears almost flowing out of my eyes. I miss them..

Oh ya..my supervisor said me and Jo are hardworking employees..She found us helpful..
Well, it is so glad to hear that.I just felt so happy..cos she did observe our performances...

Myrtle Beach-Broadway at the Beach

Oh well. Today our program was to a place called "Broadway at the beach" to suntan and shop.
Wait a minute, do you think that there is beach at the "Broadway at the beach"?
No way~~~There is no beach at the Broadway at the beach.. No beach~~~~
We were like...wth...hah??It should not be called "Broadway at the beach". Should be called "Broadway near the beach"??Sensible?haha
So me and velle went to Myrtle Beach to have our suntan done first and met Tortoise they all at the Broadway at the beach.
This time, we went to the far end of Myrtle Beach which was better than last time. We just peacefully enjoyed our suntan session..And the weather today was AWESOME...The sun was hot, and the wind was not so strong...Omg..I think i am addicted to suntan...
Anyway, after 2 hours, we walked 1 mile to meet Tortoise they all.

Our dinner today was Mexican food~~~haha...well, the portion is big. But i still prefer Jap Food~~

Myrtle Beach Adventure

U know what happened today?
Well, we were supposed to work till 9pm..But at 4pm, our supervisor told me and Joan that we can leave earlier as the biz today was not busy. This went out to be the same for Velle and
Tortoise. We were quite pissed off...Actually, in the contract, it stated that we are guaranteed to work at least 32 Hours a week...Now? We work not more than 3 days a week, 7 hours a day.. WTH *&%$@@
So we took the shuttle bus from our park to Walmart. And this kind female driver,autie, asked us to wait at the opposite high way before the traffic light at 7:30pm. Her bus will pass by and pick us up by then.
Actually, the bus service in US is pretty messy. U cant tell when they are coming as they don't really follow their schedule accurately. And you know what, there is no destinated bus stop along the way. U can just wave along the way when u see the bus coming. Just like a taxi huh...
Ok, the funniest thing was that, the traffic light doesn't have a zebra crossing(I supposed they think all people drive thr). We just risked our lives chionging all the way to the opposite side of the road.(or high way??)

We just waited impatiencely at the stand there. U can imagine how weird is that...Time was 7:40. We suspected that the bus was either not coming or we were waiting at the wrong location. Cars and bikes passed by us. I could see some blacks or whites were actually laughing at us..Cos u cant see any1 who sitting along the road side with few Walmart plastic bags(below)

Waited and waited. When we finally lost our hope and tortoise was calling up a cab, we saw the bus driving towards us...Oh YES!!!it was the autie. Thank God..It was so amazing to see her...So we got onto the bus. Guess wat, this autie drove us to our apartment..right in front of our apartment..That's sooo cool...
I told you already.My days here are so happening...I cant imagine what will happen tmr..~~

Myrtle Beach Update

This week is Black Bike Week. In Myrtle Beach, it is very common to see bikes around now.I think I was influenced and in love with all these bikes, Suzuki Bikes...Oh~~~~When can i have 1 and race on the road~~~



Yay, We finally went to Myrtle Beach...I super like the sunlight hitting on me...It is awesome..I wan to suntan until I become a chacoal.
That's is the Altantic Ocean. The ocean is different from East Coast de..The sand is finer, the weather is hot but windy















This is the Ripley's Haunted Adventure..That is the 3 storey haunted building. All the staff have to put zombie-ly make-up. And ytd, we went to this house. omg..it scared the hell out of me..It is like house of dead, got zombies, got zombie holding a saw chasing after you, got vampires. The whole setting is so real. And you knw wat, I shouted all the way until today my throat sores again!..I used my 80% strength grabbing Jo's hand, hair, shoulders and Clarice's hand. They knew how strong my strength is...:P....But, really a thumb-up experience.















Then we went to Coastal Grand Mall.
And we saw this car, Chryler. Tortoise said it is her favourite car...And this guy very zi dong, he got off the car and posed for us to take photos. I think he is proud of his car.



















At Coastal Grand Mall, we went to watch 2 movies. Just like any of my friends said, if u purchase 1 tix, actually u can watch as many as movies you like. Thus, we watched 2 movies for USD8(cos it was too late le).
We watched "What happened in Vegas" . It is a romantic comedy. Well, I really long time never pay to watch romantic movies. I just purely think it is fake. But this movie really touched my heart..The moral of the story is
"love you not because who you are, it is because who i am when I am with you."


P.S: Omg. Everyday in US, it is a BRAND-NEW day..Damn excited about Tomorrow.
Ok...I am goin to start working in the afternoon..FINALLY....

Update

Guys...I am working here..Hard Rock Park!~~~in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

This is the famous ride from far...I really wan to try it...Guess wat, I can go into the themepark and play for FREE!!!

Myrtle beach now is having Bike week...so you can see all those bikers riding their big bikes with their hot chicks(some are plus -sized chicks) behind the seats...So are really irritating...cos their engines are really loud. Everything they ride past, omg...it is noisy!!!

U know what, our employer Tony is so kind and good.

He brought us to eat seafood tonight and sponsor us the bill too!!!!

Finally i am here

Hey~~~I finally reached South Carolina~~

It is really Very different place from New York.
Ok..It is like a kinda resort. The weather here is hotter than NY though it is also spring here.

The housing allocation which really pissed me off.

I was not allocated to stay with velle and tortoise, but an apartment which is 2 apt away. Also, i was not allocated to work with them too.

Sigh...it is all about the stupid nationality thing. Dun wan to mention this..-__-!!

luckily, we can do an internal swap with my friend Amy. so that i have Velle as my roomate..FINALLY~~~

I finally knew what is the exact feeling of ANTM models when they are so excited about their apartment...

It is really surprising that we can get such a wonderful accommodation!~

There is

a kitchen with full sets of equipments needed(pans and pots, knives, spoons, forks, oven,

microwave, cups, mugs, bowls)

a dining table, master room, common room.*so cozy* feeling like really having a holiday...

Oops...I think my blog will be 1 day lack behind my fellow WAT(work and travel) friends' blogs..Cos i am so tired now~~~~Knock off~~~~

WNT-2 days in New York!!!

Oh..guess what, i am in new york now..

Not to mention how difficult we had gone through from SIN-HK, HK-New york.

A lot of my photos have uploaded to facebook. it tells the whole journey:P

Frankly, I really love New York.Everywhere, every city is a legend. They have their own differences in terms of culture, atmosphere, people, food.

I had visited Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge, and Statue of Liberty, and Time Square.

We stayed in Manhattan, went to all the above places DIY!!

So proud of ourselves~~just asked around, read map, and trial and error, we reached our destinations. I finally knew how to read Map, and really practically identify East and west.

My impression to New York is:

The weather is nice, although it is cold, it is windy and warm.

Food here is big in portion!!!

The blacks here are racist!

I love Time square.

The awesome atmosphere here is just sth that can't really be captured in photos. This is the city that I love besides Vegas...
Everywhere, it is like an art work..The designs of the buildings look simple but elegant.

I will be really missing New York..I havent visited its museums yet..argh~~~~2days are not enough!!!

whenever I come back home, I can predict what my sis gonna say to me (even before I step into the room).

2."u come back already hah?"

3."ate already?"

4."do laudry leh?"

Actually, what i wan to highlight is the last sentence..

Sometimes, i get quite frustrated...always ask me to do the laudry when i come back...

But i nv complain..I am willing too..

my sis nowadays really grows up a lot compared to the stubborn and bad-tempered one last time.

I feel so heartwarming when she does small little things for me.

like calling me when I am in hall:ask how is my life in hall?need any thing?she can help me buy.

like helping me wash a mug and remind me to drink cereal before sleeping(cos she knows i will be hungry at night).

like....

This makes me not to slack, but to strive on for her, my family too....

do you ever believe in fate?

Maybe it is such an ambiguous word.
Fate? something that you can feel, yet sometimes u just don't believe.
I had this good friend in my 1st 3 months in SAJC, called Angela.
However, after I transfered to POLY, moved to an even further east side house, and she eventually went to NYP, we hardly had time to meet up...and we just somehow lost contact(though i still have her NUMBEr)....
And it was sooooooooo happened that I bumped into ANGELA in orchard ytd.
She recognised me and me too...
There is just sth between me and her that helps us to identify ourselves.
It is something called fate that brings us together again~~
Angela...argh...
So ytd, I met her in VIVO to have a little chill-out session.
I was so grateful that we can meet each other again..
Singapore is relatively a small country, however, ppl always say "busy" and "no time" for friends.
Actually, we are always here for each other. It is up to you to find a way to treasure this friendship...

When I was happily dreaming about sitting on the plane to NEW YORK, the turbulence woke me up from...oops...tt's a real turbulence..
My sis suddenly grabbed my pillow away and gave me hers.
Before my mind was clear enuff to ask her y, she told me:"doctor said my pillow needs to be 50mm high, so that the gastric acid will not back flor."
oh..ok...
after few secs,"jie, can you help me take a jacket? the pillow is still too low. I need to stack it under my pillow"
oh, ok...you mean you knw it is not 50mm high?
maybe after few minutes, i heard my sis talkin on the phone with her bf...
are they that sticky??omg..
finally, i finished my NEW YORK dream in the morning.
But 2 maids woke me up!!I know 9am plus is not early for some ppl..
they wanted to change the bedsheets and clean the room.
and sis was preparin to go to sch..den she was asking me for her wallet, my atm.
sigh, y not u ask me earlier?I kinda blur now...I also need time to think whr i put..
ok...since i woke up so early, STUDY NOW!!!
well, quite a fruitful revision this morning...
When I was taking a rest, "knock*knock*'...
TODAY IS AIR-CON SERVICING DAY~~~~
i just realised...So once again, i blurblur open the door...
